For 2011 we have an independent walking holiday in the sub-tropical Portugese island of Madeira and a tailor-made guided walking holiday in the Rila and Pirin mountain ranges of Bulgaria

Madeira

Madeira is a small and luxuriant subtropical island paradise of volcanic origin, 360 miles off the Africa coast. This 7 night holiday begins in the Madeiran town of Santana on the north coast where the walks allow you to explore both the coast and levadas before crossing the mountains, along the magnificent path from Boca da Corrida. We spend a further day in the centre of the island before moving south to discover this little known but no less beautiful coastline.

BULGARIA: Rila and Pirin

The Rila and Pirin form a beautiful range of alpine style mountains at almost 3000m with hundreds of shimmering lakes. Guided walking on undiscovered trails, a rich fauna and flora and beautiful cultural delights all make for a great weeks holiday experience .
