GUEST HOUSE CHAMPAGNY EN VANOISE

La Même dans les Orties guest house is located in the historic heart of the traditional alpine village of Champagny en Vanoise. This village is located on the north western edge of the Vanoise National Park. This beautiful region of the French Alps is characterised by large accessible valleys and soaring mountains. The Vanoise is the 3rd most important mountain range in the French Alps after the Mont Blanc region and the Ecrins. One of our walking days starts from the High Champagny valley just above the village, a beautiful u-shaped valley with waterfalls and high mountain walls. There is also a cable car running from the village which can provide the start of an alternative guided walk.

Your guest house is a lovely historic property built in 1813 and located just off the main road down a small alleyway. It has been lovingly restored to provide a small intimate guest house ideal for small groups and perfect for providing a slice of authentic alpine living during your guided walking holiday. In terms of style this is as far removed from the large hotels in the alpine resorts as you are likely to get. This is a guest house full of charm, quality and individual character.

Your B&B comprises a dining room with a large table and an area to relax and read inside. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and are a good size. Two are on lower floors, whilst the other is on the same level as the dining area. On both floors of this historic building the ambience is cosy with wood and stone being dominent throughout.

Here in the heart of the Alps, Dominique will reserve you an especially warm welcome. Aperatifs and meal times form an ideal time to find out more about alpine life. Meals are delicious alpine dishes such as Tartiflette. French wine provided with the delicious four course meals helps the evenings to tick along nicely.

Breakfast is a chance to enjoy local breads and jams, honey, cheese, eggs all produced locally. The breakfast is large and will set you up nicely for your day's walking in the Vanoise mountains.
